The guides from Iguassu Free walking tour believe a city has more then the main turistic atractions, we would like to show for our visitors a real local experience with a bilingual guide with 2 hours walking around the city giving they a local and historical information stoping by historical building and main points in the city.
Born in the triple border region, working with experience tourism for over 7 years with the company Let´s go travel experience. My mission is to show visitors tours beyond the conventional ones, presenting non-touristy places in the city. I have already guided groups through several places in Brazil, such as Pantanal, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Bonito, Ubatuba, Ilha Grande, Paraty and others. Tour guide with more than 20 years of experience in tourism in Foz do Iguaçu, taking visitors to discover experiences outside of conventional tourism
The tour starts around 5:30 pm
with Sushi Hokkai as the meeting and departure point.
The walk begins by passing through Avenida Jorge Schimmelpfeng, telling a little about the history of the city’s colonization and the beginning of the settlement of the region.
Our second stop is at Praça Bartolomeu Miter, a military school named after the Argentine general, exploring the history of the Paraguayan war and its protagonists.
We followed Avenida Brasil, one of the first streets in the city, passing by Paroquia São João Batista, a historic building where we talked a little about the different religions and cultures that live in harmony in our land.
We continued through Getúlio Vargas square and passed the SENAC building, the former Cassino hotel, full of stories.
