It was either heaven or hell!
It sheltered the Lebanese, Italians and Germans who tried their luck here.
The hotel of Mr. Mário and Dona Idalina, a great cook. He made wines from his beautiful vineyard as well as orange wine.
So important, that it became “Rua do Lamarque” today, Rua Santos Dumont. As much as Dumont has undeniable importance, this should be the name of the street to this day!
